Stop second guessing yourself and learn to ask the right questions of yourself and others. Every situation is an opportunity to develop a leadership mindset by focusing on growth and reflection over blame and guilt. Guest Sean Thom explains how to stop mentally beating up on our students, or ourselves, and shift to reflection and growth to develop relational leadership skills.
Sean Thom has been a middle school science teacher and a building principal. He currently runs a special education school for students with behavioral and emotional issues. Sean developed a student-centered teacher feedback system which centers on real-time student input. He is passionate about social-emotional learning, leading through building strong relationships, and transforming the educational process with others.
“I live near the school where a girl was killed in a school bathroom. I want to prevent tragedies like this too. What is your reaction when you see these events?” Sylvia, Delaware
