Posted on

In this episode

Educators have been disempowered and de-professionalized over time with the increase on standardized teaching and testing. But there are steps any school could take to increase the voice and morale of educators. Guest Deyonne Jackson explains what a Teacher Powered School can do for you and how to create one.

About today’s guest

Deyonne Jackson is in her 15th year of teaching and has taught at traditional elementary and a teacher-powered school. She has been a teacher and administrative team member at Woods Learning Center (a teacher powered school) for 12 years. Deyonne is also an ambassador for the Teacher-Powered Schools Initiative.
